Gain a New Perspective
With A New Canon Lens

One very important factor when taking beautiful shots of subjects, is your camera lens. When looking to purchase your first DSLR, I can't stress the importance of choosing the one that best suits your photography needs. Before I get into the different options, let's go over some of the different things to look at when purchasing a DSLR. There are so many different factors to think about when picking a lens; the amount of zoom, how wide your shots can get, quality of the glass, the maximum aperture, and so many others!

Focal Length and F-stop are the two main qualities of a camera lens. The focal length tells you how close, and the F-stop tells you how wide the aperture can open. You can learn more about Camera lenses and read reviews at Canon Lens reviews

Everyone has their own preference when it comes to camera lenses. Some people like there lens to have a long focal length, while others only care about having a wide aperture. Obviously, it would always be nice to get close to a subject with a telephoto zoom lens, but they are quite useless if there isn't a sufficient amount of light in the shot. Its safe to say you can generally get a nicer looking shot with camera lenses that have a larger aperture rather than a longer focal length. So in the end, you lens will dictate what shots you are able to take, whether its portrait, macro, landscape, or wildlife, there's a particular lens for each. Check out the Canon Website for detailed descriptions for each type of lens. Below I will go through each and explain the type of lens needed.

Macro Photography

Macro photography also known as photomacrograhpy is photography taken at extremely close up shots. This is generally done when the subjects are very small objects where the subject in the photo will look to be great than like size.

Portrait Photography

Portrait photography also known as portraiture is a photography of a person our group of people. It is meant to capture a person or group of peoples mood, personality, and expression. The picture is normally focused on the the persons face, but their whole body can be in the picture as well.

Landscape Photography

Landscape photography shows landscapes and places from all over the work. These pictures may look microscopic or they look unending. These photographs focus on nature and it presence, but also man made subjects or landscapes.

Wildlife Photography

Wildlife photography takes an experienced photographer that already has prier knowledge and experience with animals. For example, there are animals that are dangerous to get close to, so you would need  knowledge of the animals behavior in order to photograph it.
